This is Our Town
„Heimenkirch – So lang. So gut.”
Since 2012, these words officially stand for the town of Heimenkirch: “Lang” (long) hints to the spatial extent of the town’s centre and its outskirts, while “gut” (great) points to an outstanding quality of life. The municipality is located along the federal highway B32, as well as along the segment of the federal railroad line connecting the cities of Munich and Lindau. At 668 meters above sea level, Heimenkirch lies in the heart of the Westallgäu region between the Alps and the Lake Constance.
Not only about 3,700 permanent residents but also our guests enjoy the outstanding quality of life that the town offers. Many traditional farms, often proudly decorated with generous flower arrangements, paint a beautiful picture of the town’s rural heritage. The residents of the municipality and its neighbor towns are offered as much as 1,000 jobs directly in Heimenkirch due to an excellent economic structure. In addition, a large number of leisure activities offer fun and recreation in the most different ways that leave almost nothing to be desired.
